Mark Tremonti is one of the leading guitarists in the rock world, and has had great success as a guitarist for Creed and Alter Bridge, and is still active as a guitarist and songwriter. Mark's relationship with PRS began when he was asked if he would like to use a PRS guitar while on tour following the release of Creed's debut album, "My Own Prison".

PRS sent Mark a McCarty model, which he liked immediately, and for a time he played only McMarty, but ultimately he felt he needed a guitar that matched his own playing style, and this was the starting point for the Mark Tremonti model. This was the starting point for the Mark Tremonti model. He wanted a pickup with a little more power for palm muted backing, and a neck that would fit his own style, which is influenced by thrash metal, shred, and traditional blues. The result is the Mark Tremonti Signature with Pattern Thin Neck.
