BTB "Boutique Bass" w/Multi Scale
Bass Workshop's interpretation of the multi-scale BTB model

- Through-neck construction for long sustain, rich resonance, and high rigidity
5pc neck made of maple and hard walnut for clear sound image and attack. The rigidity is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck back across the entire fret range is one of the BTB bass's most distinctive features.
- 5-string side: 37"~1-string side: 35" extra long multi-scale
The scale of the low-B string (5th string) is set to 37", which gives the low strings more tension than the standard BTB model, and this gives the bass more clarity and core sound when tuned down.
The multi-scale is the most extreme fan shape of all Ibanez basses, which is especially beneficial for technical fingering in the high fret range. (Note: Requires skill and familiarity and is not universal to all players and playing styles.)
- Poplar burl top, ocoume wood & ash wood laminated wing body
The winged body, which sandwiches the neck, is made of a laminated structure with a top made of ash wood, which has a clear and bright sound, okoume wood, which is rich in mid and low frequency characteristics, and poplar wood with unique burl grain.
The deep cutaway style of the body contributes to the ease of playing in the high position, and the shape/design of the horn was designed for good balance when played standing up.
- Ibanez T1 Pickups
This is a humbucker with two original separate coils, designed for a sound with tight response in the lower register, punchy midrange, and clear treble. The rounded cover edge is designed for easy finger placement.
The rounded cover edge makes it easy to place your fingers on the pickups, and the two pickups are slightly offset so that their edges are almost parallel to the strings, which makes them easier to play than on other multi-scale models.
- MR5S (monorail) bridge with inter-string pitch adjustment mechanism
Each string is independent of the other, and the vibration of the strings is transmitted directly to the body. The saddle is movable by ±1.5mm in the left/right direction, allowing the pitch between strings to be set freely within a certain range.
- Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch and EQ bypass switch
This equalizer produces an active sound with a wide range and low noise, and the midrange frequency can be switched between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz by changing the switch.
It also has an EQ bypass switch that allows it to be used as a passive bass. (When bypassed: Tone control via Treble knob) (powered by 006P battery)
