The Electro Hawaiian Junior is an Asian-made lap steel designed by California builder Bill Usher, trusted by Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Ry Cooder, and Ben Harper. Equipped with two humbucking pickups. It has a mahogany body and neck, 25" scale.
This is a higher version with a bound body, gold top, factory original tortoiseshell covered pickups, and an upgraded version with a belly bar kit that allows the guitar to be played standing up on the shoulder with a strap. The year is unknown, but the specifications suggest that it was made in recent years.
There are a few scratches and scuffs on the back of the instrument, and the metal parts are slightly scratched, but nothing significant. The original metal volume and tone control knobs have been replaced with retro-style plastic ones.
The sound is wild, powerful, and sustainful. This is a steel guitar that can rock. Plus, it can be played standing up on a strap like Larkin Poe's Megan Lovell. It looks great and is highly recommended.
It comes with a genuine gig case, belly bar kit, strap, and a wrench for adjusting the bridge height. The bottom of the case is slightly torn where it meets the end pins.

ジャクソン・ブラウン、ニール・ヤング、ライ・クーダー、ベン・ハーパーらから信頼を寄せられているカリフォルニアのビルダー、ビル・アッシャーのデザインによるアジア製のラップ・スティール、エレクトロ・ハワイアン・ジュニア。ハムバッキング・ピックアップを二つ搭載。マホガニー・ボディ＆ネック、25インチ・スケールが採用されています。
当個体はバウンド・ボディ、ゴールド・トップの上位バージョンで、ファクトリー・オリジナルのべっ甲柄カバー・ピックアップ搭載、さらにストラップで肩にかけて立奏できるベリー・バー・キット付きというアップ・グレード仕様となっています。年式は不詳ですが、仕様から近年製と思われます。
バックの塗膜に浅くうっすらとした引っ掻き傷、擦り傷が散見されるほか、金属部品に僅かなくすみが確認できますが、いずれも大きく目立つ物ではありません。ボリュームとトーン・コントロールのノブが、オリジナルの金属の物からレトロな雰囲気のプラスティックの物に交換されています。
野太いサウンドで、パワフルかつサスティンがあります。ロックできるスティール・ギターです。しかも、ラーキン・ポーのミーガン・ラヴェルのようにストラップで立奏できるのが魅力。ルックスも良く、お勧めの一本です。
純正ギグ・ケース、ベリー・バー・キット、ストラップ、ブリッジ高さ調整用レンチが付属します。なお付属のケースですが、底のエンド・ピンと接触する部分が少々破けています。
