The Vintage Custom 1950 Double Esquire is one of those early models, a faithful recreation of the incredibly rare dual-pickup Esquire.It’s equipped with hand-wound ’50–’51 Blackguard pickups that deliver an incredibly fat and juicy tone. Additionally, it features ’51 Nocaster wiring and improved controls. A blender pot has been added in place of the standard tone control, and you’ll notice that the added resistance in the rhythm circuit results in a sweeter output.The neck fingerboard features a vintage compound radius profile ranging from 7.25 inches (184 mm) to 9.5 inches (241 mm). While this specification is found in a few rare examples, it offers a particularly unique feel even among vintage-style models.
