Since its inception in 1979, KEN SMITH has gone through a number of trials and errors, and has been influenced by several brands, before reaching its current state of perfection.
KEN SMITH has had a great influence on the following brands in various aspects, such as original body shape, pickups, and playability.
The 2006 BSR 5 White Tiger is now in stock.

Three-piece construction with center core mahogany sandwiched by maple. The top maple has some flecks and seems to be made of high hardness maple.

There are some dents on the lower part of the body and near the horns due to the oil finish, and there are some minor dents on the back of the body such as buckle scratches.
There are a few scratches between the front pickup and the end of the fingerboard.
The body has been refinished with oil to restore it to its original condition.
The metal parts have some age-related wear, but there are no operational problems.
The neck is straight, with a light tension that allows the player to push the string height to the limit, as only Smith can do.
The manufacturing company has changed, and the distribution of the New York era will only decrease in the future. This is a rare through-neck model.

The pickups are equipped with a series/single/parallel switch for each, when the pole piece is not visible, and in combination with a 3-band EQ driven by 18v, they can be used in many situations. The volume can be switched between active and passive with push/pull.
A MONO high-end gig bag and strap lock attachment are included.

2006年製 BSR 5 White Tigerの入荷です。

センターコアのマホガニーをメイプルで挟む3ピース構造。トップのメイプルは木目こそ控えめながらいくつかのフレックが見られ、硬度の高そうなメイプルが使用されているようです。

オイルフィニッシュの為ボディ下部やホーン付近等に打コンがあり、ボディバックにはバックル傷等細かな打コンが散見されます。
フロントピックアップと指板エンドの間に僅かですが弾き傷が見られます。
製造から17年経過しており、弊社入荷時に激しいフィニッシュ面の劣化がみられた為、ボディ全体を元と同じようにオイルにてリフィニッシュを施しました。
金属パーツは経年変化がございますが、動作問題ございません。
ネックはストレート、スミスならではの弦高を限界まで攻めることが可能なネックの仕込みと、それに伴うライトなテンション感。
製造母体が変更となり、今後ニューヨーク時代の流通は少なくなるばかり。貴重なスルーネックモデルです。

ピックアップはポールピースの見えない時期、それぞれのシリーズ/シングル/パラレルのスイッチが装備され、18v駆動の３バンドEQとの組み合わせで多くのシチュエーションでの対応が可能。ボリュームはプッシュ/プルでアクティブ/パッシブの切替が可能です。
MONO製高級ギグバッグ、ストラップロックアタッチメントが付属します。

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
