The "The Honor Student" Elric has arrived in good condition, with no negative comments about its design, playability, or sound.
The top is made of high quality walnut with tight grain, and the back is made of mahogany, which is the best solution in terms of sound balance.
The guitar was made in Chicago by one person without hiring any assistants...
The pickups are Bartolini pickups (personally), but this time, "Fodera" pickups were chosen for this guitar.
The point is that the "AERO", which made the brand famous at that time, is used!
The sound of the walnut tonewoods, wenge neck, and ebony fretboard are dry and percussive, and the mahogany backwoods warmly embrace them, making the entire instrument function as a tone generator that maintains harmony.
The active circuit is equipped with the venerable Bartolini?NTMB+F?
The 3-band EQ is a classic 3-band EQ, but the BASS setting is set at 30Hz and the TREBLE at 10kHz, so it can be used for 6-string basses and other multi-string instruments. The TREBLE is set at 10khz and the BASS is set at 30Hz. The +F is probably a frequency control, and can be switched between 250Hz, 500Hz, and 800Hz.
It is possible to switch between three levels: 250Hz, 500Hz, and 800Hz. The opposite sound can be changed with a single touch, and it is one that has a rich electric sound character. And although it is a 6-string fretless instrument with a high degree of difficulty, it is good to set a theme that you can play for a lifetime, isn't it?

トップには木目が詰まった良質なウォルナット、バックにはサウンドバランス的に最適解ともいえるマホガニーを使用。
シカゴでアシスタントも雇わず本当に1人で製作しているとのこと...
ピックアップはバルトリーニのイメージが強いですが(個人的に)、なんと今回チョイスされたのは「Fodera」の採用で
当時一躍ブランドを知らしめる事となる「AERO」が採用されているところがポイント！
サウンドはウォルナットのトーンウッドとウェンジネックそしてエボニー指板の素材の音が生きる乾いたパーカッシヴなサウンドに加え、バック材のマホガニーがそれらをウォームに包み込むような、楽器全体が調和を保ったトーンジェネレーターとして機能しています。
アクティブ回路には老舗Bartolini?NTMB+F?が搭載されています。?
王道の3バンドEQ?ではありますがBASS?の設定が?30Hz?TREBLE?が10khz??と６弦ベースなどの多弦に合わせてくるとことが流石。そして+F?は?frequency(周波数)コントロールの意味(おそらく)かと思われ?250Hｚ、500Hz、800Hz?の3段階の切替が可能。
リアのローミッドブーストとかセンターの800Hzカットとか...真逆のサウンドがワンタッチでチェンジができ、電気的な豊富なサウンドキャラクターを持つ1本です。また6弦フレットレスという難易度の高い楽器ですが、生涯をかけて弾きこなすテーマを掲げるのも良いですよね？

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
