MOON's original shape MBC from the late 1980s and early 1990s
MBC was the model name of Bartolini's bass humbucking soapbar, which at the time was so popular that it shared the market share of pickups and onboard preamps with EMG.
Many brands later adopted this pickup because of its easy-to-use tone, durability, and reliability against noise and wire breakage. MOON introduced the model bearing the name of this pickup with great pride at that time, when the multi-string pickups were in their infancy.

The onboard preamp combined with this pickup is the TBT, which was popular with both TCT and TBT, which was used by Marcus Miller and became explosively popular.
The body is made of walnut 2P veneer for the top and back and mahogany for the center core, and the thickness of the midrange derived from the body is a perfect match for the MBC pickups.
The small treble due to the humbucker phase, combined with the TBT sound, recalls the characteristic treble of KEN SMITH.
The TBT 2-band EQ and master tone can be turned off with the TONE pull.
The neck, frets, nut, etc. have no playability issues.

There are no electrical problems, so this is a guitar that can still be played for many years to come. Comes with a non-genuine semi-hard case.

1980年代末～1990年代初頭の MOON オリジナルシェイプのMBC
MBC は当時EMG 社とピックアップ及びオンボードプリアンプのシェアを2分する程の人気を誇ったBartolini 社のベース用ハムバッキングソープバーのモデル名。
この後多くのブランドが、使いやすい音色と耐久性そしてノイズや断線への信頼性から、このピックアップを採用する事になりました。当時のMOON はこのピックアップの名を冠したモデルを、多弦の創世記であった当時大きな自身を持って投入した事でしょう。

このピックアップに組み合わさるオンボードプリアンプは、マーカスミラーの使用により爆発的人気となったTCTと人気を2分したTBTが採用されています。
ボディにはウォルナット2Pベニアをトップとバックに、センターコアにはマホガニーを使用、ボディに由来するミドルレンジの厚さは MBC ピックアップとの相性も抜群。
ハムバッカーの位相による小気味よいトレブルはTBTのサウンドと相まって、KEN SMITH の特徴的なトレブルを想起させます。
またTBTの2バンドEQ に加えマスタートーンを装備させて所も流石のMOON であります。TONE のプルでアクティブのオフになります。
さすがに30年ほど経過している為使用感は有りますが、ネック、フレット、ナットなど、プレイアビリティに関する問題はありません。

電装系のトラブルも見受けられませんので、まだまだ末永く演奏頂ける1本です。非純正セミハードケース付き

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
