Bootsy Collins is one of the most important figures in the world of funk, and his life and existence are funk itself.

The Warwick Bootsy Collins Signature Bass is the signature model of this legendary player.

The front pickup is a "J" and the rear pickup is a tappable "hum" both made by Warwick's original MEC.
The J and the Hum pickups are both made by Warwick's original MEC, giving you the Jazz Bass and the Stingray-like sound, two sounds that are synonymous with funk.
The onboard preamp has a 3-band EQ also made by MEC Volume push/pull to turn off the active. The treble/bass stack pot push/pull allows tapping of the rear pickup.

The first thing that catches the eye is the flamboyant and gorgeous silver lame finish called Solid Metal Flake on a white base. At this point, it is already special funky, but then Bootsy's trademark STAR and flame pattern is airbrushed in a gradation of black and silver, along with the position markers on the fingerboard, which are black-rimmed mother-of-pearl with a STAR is embedded.
