The "B-25" was born after 1962 as the successor to the LG series. This famous Gibson acoustic boasts a wide range of color variations for its time, and its friendly looks have made it highly popular even up to the present day. This instrument was made in 1968 after a minor change to a narrow neck with a nut width of approximately 40mm. The belly bridge, which was introduced in the middle of 1968, was also used, making this a transitional model with an adjustable saddle. The weighty ceramic saddle produces a jangly sound, and you can enjoy the addictive tone that makes you hold it under your arm and play it all the time, whether you are playing fingerstyle or strokes.
Since this guitar was made in 1968, the pegs, bridge pins, and other parts that deteriorate with age and use have been replaced, and the bridge has been re-glued, the center crack patch on the top of the body has been fixed, the pickguard has been re-glued, and the neck has been reset to keep it in playing condition. There is a crack on the head as a major restoration, and it can be judged to have been repaired because a large crack can be seen from near the nut on the 6th string side to the position of the 2nd string peg. In addition, there is a gouge on the head of the 3rd string peg, which is also a mark caused by the crack. The pegs have been replaced and repainted along with the head crack, and although this head crack is visible, it has been repaired well, so you can enjoy playing without any problems. The frets have also been worn due to years of playing, and although the neck condition has been taken into consideration, there is a tendency for the 10th fret of the 1st and 2nd strings to be frizzled. The rest of the instrument sounds fine, and with the slim neck that is easy to grip, this guitar can be used with gusto when enjoying chord strokes and low-position blues playing with a touch of sass. The combination of a compact body with a mid-focused sound and an adjustable sound will make you think about how you want to play it.
