06-2100000781638
[SN DG101] USED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP / MBS Custom Stratocaster by Dennis Galuszka MOD [06]
This instrument is an extremely rare piece crafted by master builder Dennis Galuszka for the 2002 NAMM Show. The product name listed on the certificate of authenticity is “Custom Vinyl Stratocaster.” While the original design called for a genuine vinyl record to be used as the pickguard, this particular instrument features a silver aluminum pickguard and has had its pickups and other components replaced; therefore, it is designated as a “MOD.”

Nevertheless, the high-grade maple with its dense flame grain and the inlay design mimicking a stabilizer truly live up to the standard of a show model. It is a magnificent instrument in its own right, one that allows you to fully appreciate the craftsmanship of Dennis, a specialist in woodworking.

The fingerboard is made of ebony, a wood that is now quite rare. It features a vintage/modern spec, combining a slightly flat 9.5-inch radius with vintage frets. The neck features a slim C-shape, boasting exceptional playability.

The body is made of alder, and both the body and neck are finished with a urethane coat. Replaced parts include the pickguard, pickups, selector switch, knobs, various covers, bridge set screws, tremolo arm, capacitor (replaced with an Orange Drop), and hard case. The pickups are believed to be Fender products, though the exact model numbers are unknown.

The neck resonance and string vibration are superb, producing the crisp, well-defined sound characteristic of an ebony fingerboard. This is a major feature of the guitars Dennis crafts; by ensuring a tight joint, he creates a guitar that vibrates beautifully throughout its entire structure. Finishing the joint so tightly is a task that requires exceptional skill, which truly showcases his expertise as a woodworking specialist.

Overall, there are signs of wear, including fine dents, scuffs, and discoloration on the body.
After arrival, the guitar was inspected and fully adjusted by a professional repair technician, and it is in good playing condition.
Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use

Serial Number: DG101
Year of Manufacture: 2002
Country of Manufacture: United States
Case: Hard Case
Accessories: Certificate of Authenticity, Arm, Bridge Cover
Weight: 3.63 kg
Truss rod: Plenty of play in the tightening direction; very little remaining in the loosening direction.
Fret Wear: Approximately 60%–70% remaining
Scale: 648 mm (25.5")
Radius: 241 mm (9.5")
Modifications: Pickguard, pickups, selector switch, knobs, various covers, bridge set screws, tremolo arm, capacitor (replaced with an Orange Drop) Hard case

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
