Bringing the line sound of an electric acoustic with piezo pickups closer to a natural live sound has been a challenge for many years. Martin, with the help of Fishman, came up with the answer: a preamp that simulates the sound of a microphone. This model incorporates Fishman's F1 Aura+ preamp system.
This particular model was made in 2012. There are a few small, shallow dings and scratches, a few paint scratches, a slight cloudiness to the paint film, a slight tarnish to the satin paint on the back of the neck, and some tarnishing to the metal parts, but nothing noticeable. The neck has a slight ex-playability, and there is some undulation on the fingerboard, but playability is ensured. The fret height is around 60%, and the string height at the 12th fret is approximately 3.0 mm on the 6th string side and 2.5 mm on the 1st string side.
Please note that since the F1 Aura+ is no longer produced or supplied with parts, the preamp is not covered by warranty (it is working fine at this time). It is in player's condition, and the string height may be a little high for an electrico, but it sounds great live, just like a Martin. It has a deep resonance with a sense of compression, and the sound is well integrated.
