Taylor's 12-fret joint, slotted head model "522e 12Fret".

All mahogany top, sides and back. Mahogany has a dry, woody sound with a prominent midrange and has long been popular in acoustic guitars along with rosewood. 522ce 12Fret also uses mahogany, a hardwood, for the top, which creates a natural compression effect compared to soft woods such as spruce and cedar. This creates a natural compression effect, resulting in a core sound with a rounded initial attack and fewer overtones. The warm midrange will attract many players.

The small Grand Concert (GC) body is easy to hold and allows the player to feel at one with the guitar. The short 24-7/8" (631.8mm) scale reduces string tension and the spacing between each fret is slightly narrower, making it easier to hold for players with smaller hands. The small body provides excellent touch response, and the V-Class bracing produces excellent sustain. This model is especially recommended for players with a light strumming touch and fingerpickers.

The 12-fret joint is almost an inch closer to the center of the bridge on the underside of the body than the standard 14-fret joint. This makes the overall sound thicker and more powerful. If you like smaller guitars with a punchy sound, the 12th fret is the perfect choice!

Currently, there are some minor scuffs and scratches, but playability is good.

トップおよびサイド＆バックすべてにマホガニーを使用したオールマホガニーのモデル。マホガニーは中音域が突出したドライでウッディなサウンドが特徴で、ローズウッドと並び古くからアコースティックギターで人気の木材です。522ce 12Fret はトップにもハードウッドであるマホガニーを使うことで、ソフトウッドのスプルースやシダーと比べて自然な圧縮効果が生まれ、最初のアタック音が丸い倍音の少ない芯のあるサウンドとなります。暖かみのあるミッドレンジは多くのプレイヤーを魅了することでしょう。

小柄なグランドコンサート(GC) ボディは抱え易く、ギターとの一体感が楽しめます。また 24-7/8インチ(631.8mm)のショートスケールのため、弦のテンションが低減されており、各フレットの間隔もわずかに狭くなっているため、手の小さなプレイヤーにも押さえやすく感じていただけるでしょう。 小型のボディはタッチレスポンスに優れ、また V-Classブレーシング により素晴らしいサステインを生み出します。ストラミングのタッチが軽いプレイヤーや、フィンガーピッカーに特に勧めのモデルです。

12フレットジョイントは通常の14フレットジョイントと比べ、ブリッジがボディ下側の中央にほぼ1インチ(約2.5センチ)近くなっています。これによりサウンド全体に厚みが出て力強いサウンドとなります。パンチの利いた音を出す小さめのギターがお好きな方なら、12フレットは最適な選択肢でしょう
