This model was manufactured only for a short period of time from 1965 to 1971.
This model was manufactured only for a short period of time from 1965 to 1971, and this one has a 3-piece mahogany neck and the serial number suggests that it was manufactured around 1969 to 1971.

The basic construction is the same as that of a regular ES-335, but the head is designed to be longer for 12 strings. The head has two distinctive upper and lower triangle inlays, and the inlays on this model were changed to a pointed shape around 1968 or later.
The tailpiece also differs from the usual 335 in that it does not have the diamond design.

The laminated maple body has a 3-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Two sticker-numbered PAF pickups are mounted. The bridge saddle is made of nylon, and the pegs are equipped with vertical 6-row Cruson white button ones on both sides.
The overall look is vintage with cracks in the paint and color-burned binding.
The neck has been over-lacquered. There are some minor dings, scratches, and tanning on the plastic parts, but the instrument is still in good condition and can still be played.
The case is specially designed to fit the long head.

This is a vintage 335 that you can still get for a reasonable price, but it also has the rarity that there are fewer of them than the regular model. It might be interesting to remove the secondary string and use it as a regular 6-string.
