06-2800005682670
[SN N1 007698] USED FENDER USA / Modified Stratocaster [06]
A unique modified guitar featuring a Strat Plus neck has arrived in our used inventory!

We believe the neck comes from a Fender Strat Plus manufactured between 1991 and 1992. The body features a micro-tilt and appears to be a Fender USA model, though details are unclear; therefore, it’s possible that the neck and body were taken from different instruments. The body features the so-called “lunchbox” cutout, similar to that found on certain American Standard and Strat Plus models from that era.
The body has been refinished and features a metallic red color with a slight purple tint compared to Fender’s Candy Apple Red.

The pickups, which are key to the guitar’s sound, have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SJBJ-1n, STK-S4, and TB-4 models. Although configured in an SSH layout, the front pickup is also a humbucker, resulting in a powerful setup. The controls have been modified to include a master volume, master tone, and coil-tap switch. Consequently, the pickguard has also been replaced, and there are areas on the body where screw holes have been re-drilled.

The tuners have been replaced with Fender’s recent lock tuners, and the dial top on the back of the first-string tuner is missing. This does not affect functionality.
The tremolo bridge also appears to have been replaced and is now a two-point support type, similar to those found on 1990s American Standard models. Since this design was also used on the Strat Plus, it’s possible that the bridge was originally from a neck-side guitar, but the details are unclear.

The frets have been replaced. Currently, about 60% of the original frets remain after leveling.
As a result, the neck and fingerboard have been refinished.
Overall, there are scratches, dents, chipped paint, and rust or tarnish on the metal parts.
In particular, there are numerous large dents accompanied by paint chips on the sides of the body.
There is also a dent caused by an impact on the fingerboard around the 13th fret, between the 2nd and 3rd strings.

As described above, this is a modified instrument that shows signs of use and may have been assembled from separate body and neck parts; however, it is a unique piece with distinctive features such as its color and pickup configuration.
It has been cleaned and fully adjusted since arrival and is ready for use without any issues.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches, but no issues for normal use

Serial Number: N1 007698
Year of Manufacture: 1990-
Country of Manufacture: USA
Case: Soft case
Accessories: Arm
Weight: 3.27 kg
Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems
Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing
String height (low-string side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret
String action (treble side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret
Nut width: 43.0 mm
Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 20.8 mm
Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 22.1 mm
Scale: 648 mm (25.5")
RADIUS: 241 mm (9.5")
Strings at setup: ERNIE BALL 2223 / .009-.042 set
Modifications: Pickups, electronics, body finish, tuning pegs, bridge
Repairs and Maintenance: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, fret leveling

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
