The "Jazz Festival," a wood snare representing RADIC in the 1960s.
Ringo Starr of the Beatles famously used an early model, especially its color "Black Oyster", which is famous as the rarest and most valuable model.

The serial number of this piece is 193258, and it is believed to have been made in 1965, but it seems to have been restored, including repainting the inside and rewinding the covering.
The color is "Blue Oyster," a popular color similar to Black Oyster, and it seems to have been carefully rewound with a very thin and original pattern.

The 3ply shell of maple/poplar/mahogany and maple reinforcement shell is made of maple.
The sound is soft and fat with a solid midrange, which is typical of RADIC, and the open, biting feel of the snare can only be achieved with RADIC wood snares!

The parts are probably original, but the hoops seem to have been replaced with late 60's steel Raddick ones.
It is not a full original product, but it seems to have been carefully restored and is in very safe condition for use.

There are some pits on the parts, but the impression is that it is clean and in good condition for its age.
The mutes and switches operate smoothly and without problems.
The head and snappy have been replaced (snappy is current P1963).

Although not a full original, it is in good condition, looks and remains beautiful, and is a practical enough unit.

Size: 14x5.5 inches (actual measurement was 5.5 inches)
Shell: Maple/Poplar/Mahogany
Hoop/Tension: 1.6mm steel 8 tension
Attachment: None
Item rank: B+: Some scratches, but no problem in normal use.
