08-2800003151383
[SN 11062001] USED Gibson / Southern Jumbo Tri-Burst (2012) Gibson Acoustic Guitar [08]
A used 2012 Southern Jumbo has just arrived!

* Since the soundhole label is missing (or possibly worn away), the exact details are unknown, but it is likely a limited-edition model from the 1950s.

The Southern Jumbo, like the J-45, was introduced in 1942.
Initially, it featured a rosewood side and back, but this was soon changed to mahogany.
In 1955, the pickguard was changed from a teardrop shape to a large pickguard.

Made in the USA at the Montana factory
The all-solid round-shoulder body, featuring multiple binding on the top and back, is made of Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back.
The top features scalloped X-bracing and is equipped with a rosewood bridge and a large pickguard (which has been replaced).
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of just under 44mm and a 24.75" Gibson scale, features a bound rosewood fingerboard.
The headstock is fitted with three white-bead Kruzon-style tuning pegs.
The headstock features a crown inlay, while the fingerboard is adorned with a double parallelogram inlay, giving it the elegance of a high-end J-45 model.

Serviced at a renowned guitar workshop!
The pickguard has been replaced; it was cut from a new piece of wood, crafted, finished, and glued in place.
A strap pin had broken off and remained in the upper-center part of the body back; the pin was removed, the hole filled, the surface smoothed, then refinished and polished, and a new strap pin has been installed at the neck heel.
The neck angle has been adjusted, the fingerboard has been corrected, and the frets have been leveled.
The truss rod has been checked to ensure it moves smoothly to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; while the frets have worn down, they still retain sufficient height for comfortable playing.
There are traces of a previous crack repair on the bridge.
There is a mark where the strap pin was removed in the upper-center part of the body back.
Other than that, while there are minor scratches, playing marks, and dents, the guitar is in relatively good condition and offers excellent playability.

The rich, full-bodied Gibson sound is still very much present, offering a more cohesive tone than the J-45.
It will perform brilliantly whether you’re strumming or playing fingerstyle! Highly recommended!

Other
Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use
Serial No.: 11062001
Accessories: Hard case
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0652/2247/6028/files/e4213e243da9497baffb3e0db8a3f167_202607027322187.jpg?v=1782990386
https://intl.ishibashi.co.jp/ja/products/08-2800003151383
Ishibashi Music Corporation.
