The concept of j.custom is very simple.
The concept of j.custom is very simple: "Guitars made from carefully selected materials and assembled by the most skilled craftsmen in Japan, always in pursuit of high playability and excellent sound".
Since its birth, this concept has never changed. With this concept in mind, j.custom is Ibanez's top-of-the-line electric guitars, built in our workshops in Japan to meet the diverse styles, tastes, and demands of guitarists at the highest level.

RG j.custom Super Wizard AS" asymmetrical neck shape 5pc maple/wenge wood neck
The neck is made of a 5pc combination of maple and wenge wood for a natural sound with full consideration of strength.
Asymmetrical neck shape based on the ultra-thin SuperWizard shape, which was designed for ease of playability and thinness.
The neck thickness of 17mm at the nut and 19mm at the 12th fret is retained, while the shape is rounded toward the bass string side (6th string side) to provide a more secure fulcrum for the thumb and to enhance playability for technical techniques such as wide stretching and sweeping with the left hand.
The neck and back have a "Velvetouch" finish that feels as comfortable in the hand as a guitar that has been played for years.

Macassar Ebony fingerboard
The Makassar Ebony fingerboard is characterized by its hardness, excellent responsiveness, and vertical stripes, and the "Tree Of Life" position inlay, one of the symbols of j.custom design, is a special feature of this fingerboard.

Flamed maple top (4mm) and alder body
Alder wood, characterized by its well-balanced bright tone and rich sustain, is laminated with AAA grade flame maple wood.

Deep and beveled lower horn scoop body back
The cutaway on the treble string side (1st string side) of the body back is deeply scooped to enhance playability in the high position.

Chambered Body
The body is chambered, which is a little bit lighter than the original design, but without sacrificing the acoustic characteristics of the wood. In order to meet the needs of players, we have drilled several 3cm holes on the front side of the body.
Although it is only a small amount, it is certainly a device that leads to weight reduction.

DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary / True Velvet / The Tone Zone pickups
Seeking a natural tone, we selected the PAF 36th Anniversary for a low-power, warm, sweet tone in the neck position, the True Velvet for a bright, noiseless sound in the middle position, and the DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary / True Velvet / The Tone Zone pickups for a balanced output and powerful sound from high to low frequencies in the bridge position. The bridge position is equipped with The Tone Zone, a covered instrument that delivers a well-balanced and powerful sound from high to low frequencies.

Coil-tap switch
This switch functions on the front and rear humbucker pickups to expand the sanding variation.

Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge
The Lo-Pro Edge, an original tremolo with the ultimate low-profile design, is mounted. The unit is designed to be as low as possible and the fine tuners are placed in the rear to minimize the possibility of tuning deviation due to hand contact while playing. Satin black color.
