The Paul, made in 1978 and featuring a walnut body, is now in stock!

The Paul" was released in 1978 and is classified as a low-priced flat-top model, but the body and neck are made of walnut, and the fingerboard is made of ebony. The body and neck are made of walnut, and the fingerboard is made of ebony, which gives it a "not-so-ordinary" look. The body is 3pcs with the original satin finish, and the PU has been replaced with a Burstbucker 1 & 2 (gold pole piece). Each pot has been replaced with a recent CTS, selector and jack have been replaced, and the nut and frets have been replaced.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, and dings. The entire body has been polished very well, and the original clear paint is only on the sides, not on the top & back or the back of the neck. There are picking scratches on both sides of the front PU, and the body has large and small dents all over. There is a line scratch between both PUs and a circular scratch around the thumb nut on the bridge where a tool was applied. The sides of the body are generally dotted with dents. There are buckle scratches centered on the upper part of the body back, and the lower part of the body has dents and scratches mainly in the area of the odd odor. The top tip of the head has wood shavings and dents. Each hardware has some signs of use and deterioration of plating, but there are no operational problems.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned and adjusted in the direction to tighten. The frets are about 70% full with no noticeable string marks. The current string height is about 2.0mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret, and about 1.5mm on the 1st string.

Overall, the clear has been peeled off, and the PU and assembly have been replaced, so the vintage value is low. However, the original hard case is still present, the frets and nut have been replaced, and the guitar has been finished with a clean look, etc. The previous owner must have really liked it. The combination of the thin walnut body and bursting buckers is quite good and gives the impression of crisp and clean exit. It can be said that this is an easy vintage for young players to choose, not for collection!

Neck condition is fine.
Truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust.
Fret remainder about 70%.

1978年製、ウォルナットボディが特徴のThe Paul入荷しました!

78年に発表された『The Paul』はフラットトップの廉価モデルに分類されますが、ボディ＆ネックはまさかのウォルナットを採用。また指板にはエボニーを使用する等『只者ではない感』をプンプンとさせるモデル。こちらはのボディは3pcsで、オリジナルのサテン仕上げが特徴。PUは交換されており、バーストバッカー1＆2を搭載(ポールピースはゴールド仕様)。各ポットも近年のCTSに、セレクターやジャックも交換され、ナットやフレットも交換されております。

ボディには拭きキズやスリキズ、打痕があります。ボディ全体的にかなりしっかりと磨かれており、オリジナルのクリア塗装はサイドのみとなっておりトップ＆バックやネック裏にはありません。きっと清潔感を出したかったのでしょう。フロントPU両脇にはピッキングキズがあり、ボディには全体的に大小打痕があります。両PU間には線キズがあり、ブリッジのサムナット周りには工具を当てた円形状のキズがあります。ボディにサイドには全体的に打痕が点在しております。ボディバック上部中心にバックルキズがあり、下部が異臭部分を中心に打痕やスリ傷があります。ヘッドトップ先端部分には木部の削れや打痕があります。各ハードウェアには使用感やメッキの劣化はありますが動作には問題ありません。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ回せ調整可能です。フレットには目立つ弦跡等は無く残りは７割程度です。現状弦高は12フレット6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的にはクリアが剥がされていたり、PUやアッセンブリが一式交換されておりヴィンテージとして価値観は少なめです。但しオリジナルのハードケースがしっかり存在していたり、フレット＆ナットが交換されていたり、清潔感のある外観に仕上げる等、本当に前のオーナーの方は気に入ってたのでしょう。薄めのウォルナットボディにバーストバッカーとのコンビネーションも結構良く、クリスピーにスッキリ抜けてくれる印象です。コレクションではなく、プレイヤーの若いプレイヤーにお選び頂きたいお手軽ヴィンテージともいえます!
