1968 Mustang, popular blue color, no way, with cruson peg specs!

Neck date is "16NOV68B", nut width is about 41mm, 24" 22 fret spec. PU is both front & rear '66, date can be confirmed. Both Stackpole pots are made in '66, and the switches, etc. are also made by original Stackpole, and the jacks have been replaced. Nuts & frets have been replaced. The pegs are usually F-keyed, but this is an original 2-row Cruson spec. until '65. The head patent number, "Offset Contour Body" decal, and joint plate serial number are all confirmed, but it is difficult to determine the year because of the Cruson specs, but there is little sense of "niceness," and I assume that the pots, pegs, PU, etc. that were stock were assembled in 68.

The body has weather cracks throughout, and boasts vintage-like dignity and presence. There are some dents and paint peeling but nothing to ruin the atmosphere. There is a circular sticker mark about 8cm in diameter on the lower left side of the body top. There is a mark on the side of the end of the body where the paint has reacted to the stand. The back of the neck is generally smooth, but there is no significant stickiness, so vintage players should have no problem with it.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. The frets are in good condition, and there are no noticeable string marks on the fretboard. The current string height is about 2.0mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret, and about 1.5mm on the 1st string.

Overall, there are some signs of use and age commensurate with the age of the instrument, but there is no damage that would ruin the atmosphere. Although there is a gap between the neck date and the assembly date, it is equipped with Crewdson pegs, which made me wonder about the age of the guitar, but once you hear the sound, you will think, "Oh, that doesn't matter! The sound makes you think, "Oh, it doesn't matter! The feedback is low even when driven, and the sound is pleasant when distorted by a Marshall! The frets are low, but they are well balanced and shaped, and the B-neck design is a good point for players. Vintage prices are getting higher and higher every year, but you can still get a Mustang! This one is highly recommended for young players!

Neck condition is fine.
Truss rod is neutral and can be adjusted to tighten.
Only about 40-50% frets left.

1968年製、人気のブルーカラー、まさかのクルーソンペグ仕様のムスタング!

ネックデイトは『16NOV68B』、ナット幅約41mm、24インチ22フレット仕様です。PUはフロント＆リア共に66年製でデイトの確認ができます。両スタックポールのPotは66年製、スイッチ等もオリジナルのスタックポール製で、ジャックが交換されております。ナット＆フレットが交換されております。ペグは通常であればFキーですがこちらは65年までのオリジナル2列クルーソン仕様です。Fキーを取り付けていた跡もなく、オリジナルでクルーソン仕様。ヘッドパテントナンバーや『Offset Contour Body』デカール、ジョイントプレートシリアルを確認しつつ、まさかのクルーソン仕様で年式判別に苦労しますが、ニコイチ感は少なく、ストックされていたポット・ペグ・PU等を68年に組み上げたものと推測します。

ボディには全体的にウェザークラックがあり、ヴィンテージらしい貫禄と存在感を誇ります。全体的に打痕・塗装剥がれもありますが雰囲気を壊すものはありません。ボディトップ左下には直径約8cm程の円形のステッカー跡があります。ボディエンドサイド部分にスタンドによる塗装反応跡があります。ネック裏は全体的にサラッとした雰囲気ですが、大きなベトツキもなくヴィンテージプレイヤーなら問題ありません。1・4弦ペグに曲りはあるものの現状チューニングに問題はありません。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ回せ調整可能です。フレットには目立つ弦跡等は無く残りは4から5割程度です。現状弦高は12フレット6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的には年式相応の使用感と経年変化はありますが、雰囲気を壊す様なダメージはありません。ネックデイトとアッセンブリーデイトにギャップはあるものの、まさかのクルーソンペグを搭載しておりおおいに年式判別に悩ませてくれましたが、サウンドを聞けば『ああ、そんなのどうでもいいや!』と思わせてくれます!ドライブさせてもハウリングは小さく、マーシャルでガッと歪ませて心地よいサウンドを奏でてくれます!フレットは低く目ですが、しっかりすり合わせと形状を整えておりBネック仕様も相まってプレイヤーには嬉しいポイント。年々高騰するヴィンテージですがまだまだムスタングなら狙えますよ!若いプレイヤーに是非ともオススメの一本です!
