Dana Bourgeois founded Bourgeois Guitars in 1985, after having been exposed to a variety of old guitars.
The guitar is made of Adirondack spruce with rosewood sides and back, and ebony fretboard and bridge. As you can see, the selection of the wood is so tight that it is hard to believe that it is Adirondack spruce, which shows the care that went into the guitar's production.
The neck shape is thinner than most guitars and easy to grip, with a nut width of about 44 meters and a scale of 635 mm.
The body is wrapped in herringbone, and the fingerboard is engraved with diamond square inlays. The open back Waverly pegs give this model a vintage look and feel.
The past owner has installed an L.R. Baggs AnthemSL, so when the line is connected, the output sound is a mix of the sensor under the saddle and the small microphone sound inside the body.
The sound response is outstanding, with the body ringing well and the sound bouncing back quickly after the strings are plucked. The bracing is designed to be thinner and more compact than that of other makers. Furthermore, we have also taken great care in scalloping the bracing to prevent cracking. The condition of the wood is still in good condition, whether it is due to the fact that the wood is laid down well or the overall design is good. The tone is beautiful when played with the fingers, of course, and the fact that the contours of each string do not collapse even when chords are strummed is a true testament to the quality of this instrument.

There are line scratches all over the body and small dents in various places. There are some noticeable scratches on the upper right and lower left sides of the body, and two rice grain sized dents on the center right side of the body back, but there are no other large dents or fatal cracks that can be seen on the wood.
The neck has some visual paint reaction, but there is no major discomfort when you hold the neck.
The neck is currently in good condition, and the neck can be adjusted with the truss rod.
The string height has been set at 2.1mm-2.2mm on the 6th string (12F) and 1.6mm-1.7mm on the 1st string (12F).
The frets are a little low, but not so low that they need to be replaced immediately. There are no noticeable dents, and the guitar can be used as is.
The pegs have some line scratches, but there is no noticeable tarnish. The luster is still there, and of course, the tuners are still functional.
The price of Bourgeois Guitar is rising day by day.
The original number of Bourgeois Guitars produced is small, but the number of Bourgeois Guitars distributed in Japan is also small, so even if you know the name of the maker, you may not be able to see this guitar.
