1988 Custom Shop 62 Jazzbe in stock, refinished in Daphne Blue!

There is a Custom Shop logo on the back of the head and a red stamp on both the neck joint neck & body side to determine that it is an early Custom Shop. There is also an '88 date on the neck joint, which we have determined to be an '88. The pot date was made in '82, but the original pot is a double pot, so it may have been used from stock. The body has been refinished, and from the paint cross section, it is judged to be refinished from Sunburst to Daphne Blue. The body was refinished from sunburst to daphne blue. The yellowing is beautiful and gives it a surf green look. The neck has had the frets and nut replaced, and the fretboard surface has been modified to make the rosewood thinner. The position marks, including the sides, have been deformed, and the neck condition has been maintained. The truss rod nut has a washer, so it does not look "tight" at a glance. The PU is original, and the pickguard has probably been changed. The serial number starts with "V" and is the same style as the so-called "Vintage" series, but the early Custom Shops were the same as this one, no problem.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, dings and paint peeling. There is a small picking scratch on the 1st string side of the rear PU and a small line scratch on the side of the bridge on the 1st string side. There is a buckle scratch on the upper left part of the body back and a line scratch on the lower left edge of the body back. There is also a rice grain sized ding on the lower part of the body back, and fine scratches all around the lower outer edge. There is a reaction with the case lining near the 8th floor on the back of the neck. There are dents and peeling paint on the tip of the head. Each hardware has some deterioration from use, but is in working order.

The truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned in the direction to tighten. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.5mm on the 12F 4th string side and about 2.0mm on the 1st string side.

The overall condition includes refinishing, neck adjustment with fingerboard correction, etc., but playability is still secured. This is an early Custom Shop '88 bass, and would make a great birthday bass for someone born in 1988!

1988年カスタムショップ製、ダフネブルーにリフィニッシュされた62ジャズベ入荷!

ヘッド裏のカスタムショップロゴ、ネックジョイントネック＆ボディ側両方に赤いスタンプがありカスタムショップ初期のものと判断できます。またネックジョイントに88年のデイトの記入があり88年製としております。ポットデイトは82年製でしたがオリジナル。2連ポットなので出番がなくストックを使ったのでしょうか。またボディはリフィニッシュされており、塗装断面からサンバーストからダフネブルーにリフィニッシュと判断。キレイに黄変しておりサーフグリーンを思わせるルックスとなっております。またネックはフレット&ナット交換、指板面もかなり修正しておりローズウッドが薄くなっております。それによりサイドを含めたポジションマークが変形しておりネックコンディションを保っております。トラスロッドナットにはワッシャーが施されており、パッと見の『結構締めてるな感』はありません。またジョイント部分には大き目のシムが入ってます。PUはオリジナルで、ピックガードは変わっていると思われます。シリアルが『V』から始まるいわゆるヴィンテージシリーズと同じスタイルですが、初期にカスタムショップはこれと同じで問題ありません。

ボディには拭きキズ、スリキズ、打痕や塗装剥がれがあります。リアPU1弦側には細かい感じでピッキングキズがあり、ブリッジ1弦側脇には小さな線キズがあります。1弦側ネックジョイント部分にゴマ粒大の小さな塗装チップがあります。ボディバック左上部分にはバックルキズがあり、ボディバック左下エッジ部分には線キズがあります。またボディバックには下部に米粒大の打痕があり、下部外周エッジ部分には細かいスリキズが全体的にあります。ネック裏8F付近にはケース内張りとの反応があります。ヘッド先端には打痕や塗装剥がれがあります。各ハードウェアには使用による劣化がありますが動作には問題ありません。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ回せ調整可能フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは7割程です。現状弦高は12F4弦側で約2.5mm、1弦側で約2.0mmで調整されております。

全体的にはリフィニッシュ、指板修正を伴うネック調整等ありますが現状しっかりとプレイアビリティが確保されております。またリフィニッシュ後は激しい使用感等無く外観は良好なコンディションともいえます。88年製でカスタムショップ初期のものとなり、88年生まれの方のバースイヤーベースにも最適です!
