10-2800005621105
[SN 990279] USED YAMAHA / SG1500 Persimmon Red 1983 [10]
A popular SG series Yamaha guitar from the '80s has arrived in our used inventory!
This particular model, released back then as a mid-range option, features a wing-body through-neck construction not found on other variants in the series. It was also released in a range of see-through finishes, allowing you to see the internal structure clearly from the front. It offers the smooth, extended sustain characteristic of a through-neck design, a bright, clear sound, and—thanks to the Bi-Sound system—coil-tapping capability for the humbucker pickups.
The rear tone pot has been replaced. There are scattered scratches and dents throughout the body, as well as signs of wear such as discoloration on the binding, slight gaps caused by the binding lifting in various places around the body’s perimeter, and tarnished or peeling hardware plating; however, there are currently no major issues affecting playability.

Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of wear, but is suitable for normal use

Serial Number: 990279
Year of Manufacture: 1983
Country of Manufacture: Japan
Case: Hard Case
Weight: 4.55 kg
Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement confirmed up to 60 degrees on both sides with no problems
Fret Wear: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing
String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret
String Action (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret
Nut width: 43.0 mm
Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 21.1 mm
Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 24.2 mm
Scale: 628 mm (24.75")
RADIUS: 305 mm (12")
Strings at Setup: ERNIE BALL 2221 / .010-.046 set
Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, and leveling

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
