03-1mbjfrz3j-0711
[SN 0711] KIKUCHI GUITARS / Hermes Series RV5 5-String Vintage Natural [03]
The “Hermes,” crafted to make Kikuchi’s masterful craftsmanship accessible to as many players as possible

Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, who served as Chief Luthier at the Sadowsky Tokyo branch and recently launched Three Dots Guitars.
Combining a wealth of ideas—including know-how gained through years of instrument making and collaborations with numerous musicians—Mr. Kikuchi has created “Kikuchi Guitars,” a brand that represents the culmination of his career.

“Hermes” is a series crafted to be accessible to a wider range of players.
While maintaining its proven quality, the series offers affordable prices by limiting certain specifications and color options.
Key Features
・Neck
To produce optimal tone and weight balance during play, the neck has been reinforced and the headstock made thicker.
With a nut width narrower than that of a standard J-style guitar and a neck grip that retains just the right amount of thickness for durability and playability while remaining easy to grip, you can play smoothly from the low to the high positions.
Since the string action is set uniformly across all fret positions, the guitar delivers a powerful tone for vigorous picking and a warm, enveloping tone for gentle, stroking fingerstyle playing.

・Body
It features a redesigned Dinky shape, tailored for stress-free playing even for those with a Japanese physique. Beyond its maneuverability for producing modern tones, the two-piece solid alder body—which offers just the right amount of weight—delivers a well-defined tone and rich, resilient mid-to-low frequencies.

・Pickup & Preamp
Equipped with a DiMarzio custom model (hum-canceling specification)—also used in the Custom Series—it delivers a sharp, punchy sound with low noise.
It also features an original preamp co-developed with one of the world’s leading design firms. When boosted, the low and high frequencies rise clearly and naturally, and this practical design minimizes the perceptible difference in volume and tone quality when switching between passive and active modes.
S/N: 711
Weight: 3.94 kg
JAN: 4570241480047
Accessories: Original semi-hard case, adjustment wrench

Brand: Kikuchi Guitars
Series: Hermes Series (5-String)
Body Material: 2-Piece Alder (Solid)
Body Finish: Poly
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Thin Matte Nitro
Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Rosewood
Fingerboard Radius: 12" (305R)
Number of Frets: 22, DHP24H
Nut Material/Width: Tusq / 46 mm
Bridge: Hipshot (19 mm Spacing)
Tuning Machines: Hipshot License Ultra-Light
Pickups: DiMarzio 5HC (in '60s positions)
Preamp: Kikuchi Guitars Original Preamp
Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, Passive Roll-Off Tone (with pull switch for preamp bypass), Treble/Bass Boost
Hardware Finish: Chrome
Strings: D’Addario Nickel (.045–.130T)
Case/Gig Bag: Original Semi-Hard Case
Country of Origin: Japan

* This is a one-of-a-kind item that is listed simultaneously on multiple marketplaces, including our in-store display.
