The “FS7RX”!

Inheriting the design philosophy of the flagship “FG/FS9,” the “FS7RX”—a high-end Japanese-made model meticulously handcrafted at the Hamamatsu factory in Shizuoka Prefecture for singer-songwriters and other performers—has arrived.

Featuring a concert-style body that boasts excellent sound separation and responsiveness, it incorporates a solid Sitka spruce top with a clear resonance, along with solid Indian rosewood sides and back that produce deep bass and rich overtones.
It combines scalloped X-bracing—specially designed based on Yamaha’s proprietary acoustic analysis technology, “Acoustic Design”—with a thicker back structure that supports a powerful tone. The neck joint employs a traditional dovetail joint, delivering a light, resonant sound and pleasant sustain from the neck to the body.

The fingerboard is crafted from ebony, known for its quick response, and the tuning machines feature high-precision open-gear Gotoh models. Furthermore, elegant details inspired by Japanese aesthetics are scattered throughout the instrument, including an internal label made of washi paper, rope purfling evoking shimenawa (sacred straw ropes), and position marks inspired by traditional Japanese wood joinery.
The electronics feature the highly acclaimed “Atmosfeel (SYSTEM74)” 3-way pickup system. By combining a piezo, microphone, and contact sensor, it delivers the natural airiness and dynamics of the acoustic sound directly to an amplifier or line input.
S/N: IMJ244A
JAN: 4957812723466
Accessories: Dedicated hard case, certificate of authenticity, soundhole cover, adjustment wrench

Series: FG/FS Red Label / 7 Series
Model: FS7RX
Body Shape: Concert Style (FS)
Scale Length: 634 mm (25")
Total Length: 1,022 mm
Body Length: 497 mm
Body Width: 380 mm
Body Depth: 90–115 mm
Top Material: Solid Sitka Spruce
Back & Sides Material: Solid Indian Rosewood
Bracing: Scalloped X-Bracing
Neck Material: African Mahogany (1-Piece)
Neck Shape: Slightly Rounded V-Shape
Neck Finish: Satin Polyurethane
Fingerboard Material: Ebony
Fingerboard Radius: R400 mm (15.75")
Nut Material/Width: Bone / 44 mm
String Spacing: 11 mm
Bridge / Bridge Pins: Ebony
Saddle Material: Bone
Tuning Machines: Gotoh SXN510 Open Gear (Cosmo Black)
Body Binding: Black + Cream
Rosette / Purfling: Wooden Rope Pattern
Pickguard: Tortoiseshell Pattern
Body Finish: Gloss Polyurethane
Electronics: Atmosfeel 3-Way Pickup System (SYSTEM74)
Controls: Master Volume, Mic Blend, Bass EQ
Case/Gig Bag: Hardshell Case
Country of Origin: Japan (Made in Japan / Manufactured at the Hamamatsu Plant)

* This is a one-of-a-kind item that is currently listed simultaneously on multiple online marketplaces, including our in-store display.
