The new "Radius Armrest" made of rosewood is adopted to inherit the high playing performance of the discontinued 800 DLX series.
The previous version of the 800 DLX series was more than enough to provide high playability, but this refinement will further enhance the player's satisfaction.
Master builder Andy Powers' continued refinement of Bob Taylor's flagship series is a tribute to the brand, its guitars, and its people, and will make the Taylor guitar more approachable and appealing to users.

Indian rosewood veneer is used for the side and back wood, and Sitka spruce is used for the top wood.
The Indian rosewood gives the guitar a tight, deep, and sweet tone in the lower register. The new V-Class bracing gives the impression of increased warmth and voluptuousness.
The pickup system is of course the ES-2.
Unlike conventional under-saddle piezo pickups, the ES-2 is a revolutionary system with three independent sensors behind the saddle.

A PHASE switch is also provided on the board inside the soundhole.

サイド＆バック材にはインディアン・ローズウッド単板を採用、トップ材はシトカ・スプルースを使用しております。
インディアンローズウッドを採用することにより低音域がタイトかつ深くそして甘いトーンが特徴。グランド・オーディトリアムとの相性は大変よく、新しいV-Classブレーシングにより更に温かみとヴォリューミーさが増した印象です。
ピックアップシステムは、もちろんES-2を採用。
このES2は従来のアンダーサドル型ピエゾピックアップとは違い、サドル後方に3つの独立したセンサーをもつ画期的なシステムです。
これにより従来のいわゆる”ピエゾちっくな音”とは一線を画す、材の特性を充分取り込んだサウンドをアウトプットしてくれます。
また、サウンドホール内のボードにはPHASEスイッチも装備。
BODY SIDEではVolume/Treble/Bassをコントロール可能なので、手元で簡単なサウンドメイクが行えます。
