The 2016 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard Vintage dark Burst, which has been decreasing in the market in recent years, is now in stock!

The "True Historic" series was designed to reproduce the "Historic Collection" produced up to 2015 with the aim of creating a vintage reissue with a higher degree of reproducibility, and thorough refinement was carried out down to the smallest detail.
By setting an upper limit on the number of pieces produced per year, the production process was drastically revised to pursue an unprecedented level of Custom Shop quality, including the grade of body material.

The production of this series was regrettably discontinued after only 3 years from 2015 to 2005, and they are becoming increasingly rare in the market.

The model we have just received is a 1958 Les Paul, and while many of the 58 models have a modest plain top, this one is a very nice looking instrument.
This one has a flamed top that looks very cool when viewed from different angles!
It is very cool looking!

The curved surface of the body top is double carved, and the neck is glued with hide glue to reproduce the authentic vintage tone.
The neck shape is thick and grippy, which is characteristic of the 58, and each note has an appealing sound with a strong presence.

The pickups are equipped with the popular Custom Bucker pickups.
The unmatched coil design is used, and the output is lowered to pick up the resonance of the body, producing a clear sound, and by lowering the peak that brings up the midrange of the humbucker, it produces a vintage-like sound with rich overtones and sparkles.

Overall, there are scratches, dents with paint peeling, and other signs of use.
Scratches, dents, and paint chips on the head top, and buckle marks on the body back.
Scratches on metal parts, tarnish, peeling plating on the PU cover, and cracks on the jack plate.

The truss rod has room to tighten/loosen, and the neck is in good condition.
