D-42 with overtone-rich, classy tone!

Made in 2012, this D-42 has the gorgeous top and fingerboard inlays of a D-45, and the overtone-rich, bell-ringing tone of a D-45 as well.
Minor dings, light scratches, scuffs, and a few weather checks can be seen. The tip of the fingerboard was slightly peeled upon arrival, but it has been repaired by our partner repair store. The repair marks are barely visible. There is also a slight crack in the paint film near the inlay, but this is probably a weather check. There is also a slight bump in the paint film on both sides of the end pieces, but it is not noticeable. The binding on the back near the neck heel cap has been repaired. The nut was low, so it has been raised and the saddle has been replaced. The neck is in fair condition and the frets are in good condition.
The neck is in fair condition, with over 80% fret height remaining, and both playability and sound are perfect.
Volume is adequate. The sound is elegant, without being saturated or rambunctious, with just the right amount of comp. You can enjoy the "bell ringing" typical of Style 40. Recommended.

「倍音豊かな上品な鳴り！D-42！」

2012年製。D-45譲りの豪華なトップと指板のインレイ、同じくD-45譲りの倍音豊かな鈴鳴りのトーンが魅力のD-42です。
微細な打痕、軽い引っ掻き傷、擦り傷、ウェザー・チェックが僅かに確認できます。入荷時に、指板の先端部に若干の剥がれが見られましたが、提携先リペア・ショップにて修理いたしました。修理痕はほとんど分かりません。その近辺のインレイ部分にも僅かな塗膜のクラックが見られますが、こちらはおそらくウェザー・チェックでしょう。エンド・ピース両脇に僅かな塗膜の段差もありますが、著しく目立つものではありません。バックのネック・ヒール・キャップ近くのバインディングには剥がれの修正痕があります。またナットが低かったため嵩上げをおこない、サドルは交換してあります。修正歴、経年変化はありますが、概ね良好な外見を維持しています。
ネックの状態は適正で、フレットの高さは8割以上残っており、演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。
音量は十分。飽和したり、暴れたりすることがなく、適度なコンプ感がある上品な鳴りです。スタイル40らしい「鈴鳴り」が楽しめます。お勧めの一本。
