This is a concert size model of Kanilea, one of the three fastest growing Hawaiian ukulele brands.
High grade koa wood is used, and the book match, which seems to have been cut from the same material, shows the elaborate matching of the grain on both the front and back 4 pieces, and the candy-colored shine reverses depending on the angle of light, giving this piece a beautiful expression with tiger grain.
The unique TRU (Total Resonating Ukulele) bracing is used to obtain a rich sound by minimizing the glued parts of the front board to the minimum necessary and by not interfering with the vibration of the front board as much as possible. The fan bracing has three lines vertically, and the bracing, which is fleshed out with five horizontal holes running horizontally above and below the back of the sound hole, is an ingenious device that is glued at three points like a spectacle bridge.
Although these are specifications before the specification change, the instrument has been beautifully maintained with little signs of use and no noticeable scratches or dents. There are slight bits and fogging of the metal parts, but there are no problems with playability. The scale is 390mm, nut width is 37mm, and string height is about 2.6mm at the 12th fret.
The distinctive Hawaiian Islands inlay on the top of the body, position dots, and brand logo on the head are all sand inlays, which we believe are made of Hawaiian sand.

ハイグレードのコア材が使用されており、同じ部材からカットしたと思われるブックマッチは、表裏4ピースともに木目のマッチングされた凝り具合を示しており、あめ色の輝きは光の角度により反転し、虎目とともに美しい表情をもった一本です。
表板の接着部分を必要最低限に抑え、表板の振動を極力妨げないことにより豊かなサウンドを得るため、独特のTRU(Total Resonating Ukulele)ブレイシングを採用。縦方向は3ラインのファンブレイシング、サウンドホール裏の上下の横に走る５つの横穴で肉抜きされたブレイシングは、メガネ橋のように3点で接着する独創的な工夫が施されています。
仕様変更前の仕様ですが、使用感はあまりなく目立つキズや打痕もなく美観が保たれており、金属パーツの僅かなビッツや曇りはありますが、演奏性に問題はございません。スケール390mm、ナット幅37mm、弦高は12フレット2.6mmほど。
特徴的な、ボディトップのハワイ諸島のインレイが施されており、ほかポジション・ドット、ヘッドのブランドロゴも全てサンド・インレイで、ハワイの砂を使用していると思われます。
