Limited Edition J-160E 1962 Reissue!"

This is a 1962 spec J-160E reissue that was released as a Monthly Limited in 2017. The serial number of this unit indicates that it was made in 2016, but it was probably produced prior to this one.
The original plywood top and ladder bracing, which were designed to prevent feedback, have been reproduced. Other than the above, it also features the specs of the period, such as single ring and adjustable saddle, and is finished with a vintage-style VOS finish.
There are some dents, scratches, cloudy paint, and tarnished metal parts, as well as a deteriorated (cloudy) paint film on the head that may have been in contact with the rubber part of the clip-on tuners, but these are not noticeable, probably due to the VOS finish.
The neck is in fair condition, the frets have been rubbed, and more than 80% of the height remains. This is a must have for any 60's rock fanatic.

2017年にマンスリー・リミテッドとして発売された1962年仕様のJ-160E復刻版です。当個体はシリアル番号から2016年製ということになりますが、先行して生産された個体でしょう。
オリジナルの持つ合板トップ、ラダー・ブレーシングという、ハウリングを防止するため「敢えて生で鳴らないようにした構造」が再現されています。それら以外にも、シングル・リング、アジャスタブル・サドルなど当時のスペックが採用され、ヴィンテージ風のVOSフィニッシュが施されています。
多少の打痕、引っ掻き傷、塗膜の曇り、金属部品のくすみが確認できるほか、ヘッドにクリップ式チューナーのゴム部に接していたと思われる塗膜の劣化(曇り)箇所も見られますが、VOSフィニッシュのせいもあってか、それらはさほど目立ちません。
ネックの状態は適正で、フレットは擦り合わせ済で高さは8割以上残っており、演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。さすがに生音は控えめですが、唯一無二のサウンドです。60年代ロック・マニア垂涎の一本。
