USED FENDER USA / 1974 Precision Bass Sunburst [03]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1974 Precision Bass!

Although there are some signs of use including dents, the body is in relatively clean condition and is probably Alder from the grain and weight. Maple neck and rose fretboard are the materials of 60s specs. The body date and neck date are not stamped, and the joint has a nylon cushion, CBS logo on the head, etc. This is one of "the transitional specs".

The pickguard, pickup covers, and other appearance-related items have been replaced, but there are no changes to the electrical system. In fact, the control pots are as clean as you have ever seen them.
Pickup date is "11127 x". The last letter appears to be a "3", but as we cannot be sure, we have marked it as "x". No evidence of replacement can be seen. Pot date is "137-7438". Both the volume and tone pots are in clean condition. The pickups and pots match each other and there is no sign of replacement, so the overall date of the guitar is 1974.

The sound is characterized by a rich overtone output that is not too tight while having a solid core in the middle. It is a guitar that can be played forever, and you will want to keep playing it, as it faithfully provides the player's expression with a quick response while pushing out the "delicious parts of a plebe" familiar to any player.

It is highly original, and playability is unquestionable. There are no problems with the neck including the truss rod. This is one of the 70's guitars that is expected to rise in price in the future. Please consider it.
