We are pleased to announce the arrival of the Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Standaed Heavy Aged 60s Gold/Dark Back, which was produced in limited edition in 2022!

The black open hum specs are reminiscent of that guitarist, and the Murphy Lab aging is impressive!

The neck and body finish has been stripped and belt buckle scratches have been reproduced due to hard playing on tour and gigs. Heavy aged hardware by Murphy Labs.

The "60s Gold" gold top and "Dark Back" specs are irresistible.

The guitar features rolled binding, true historic parts, unpotted custom backers, Luxe condensers, and a CTS 500K Audio Taper Pot, making this a vintage-like Les Paul that not only looks great, but sounds great as well.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod turns 90° in the loose direction and still turns in the tight direction.
The frets are in very good condition with almost no fret loss!

The fact that it is very lightweight as an individual is also a point of recommendation!

Murphy Lab is an aging division within the Custom Shop, led by vintage expert and aging pioneer Tom Murphy and his team of artisans who create innovative aged products using new technologies.

A founding member of the Gibson Custom Shop and instrumental project leader in the development of the Historic Collection, Tom Murphy has since worked with the aging technique to bring the look and feel of vintage to new guitars.

Along the way, he has contributed to the aging of models by legends such as Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Slash, Joe Walsh, Billy Gibbons, Joe Perry, Peter Frampton, Dickey Betts, Gary Rossington, and many others.

Tom Murphy and Gibson have scientifically analyzed nitrocellulose lacquers from the 1950s and 1960s, which by their very nature cause weather-check cracking under the finish as they age, to unravel the process of change, and have tested every model in prototype form. Through a series of tests on prototypes of various models, we have developed a lacquer process that reproduces the natural weather checks of the vintage era.

Based on the Historic Collection, Murphy Labs products are innovatively aged, combining this new lacquer process with the hand-aging techniques that Tom Murphy has been refining for years, look, feel, and sense of ownership at an unprecedented level.

ブラックのオープン・ハム仕様があのギタリストを彷彿とさせ、マーフィー・ラボによる圧巻のエイジングが激渋な一本！

ツアー、ギグによるハードなプレイにより、ネックやボディのフィニッシュが剥がれた状態やベルトのバックル傷を再現。マーフィー・ラボによるヘビーエイジド・ハードウェアを採用。

「60s Gold」のゴールド・トップに、「Dark Back」仕様のスペックも堪りません。

ロールドバインディング、トゥルーヒストリックパーツ、アンポッテッド・カスタムバッカー、Luxe社製のコンデンサー、CTS 500K Audio Taper Potを搭載をしており、雰囲気だけでなく、サウンドも抜群のビンテージ・ライクなレスポールに仕上がっております。

ネックの状態も良く、トラスロッドも緩め方向90°、締め方向にはまだまだ回ります。
フレットもほぼ減っておらず非常に良いコンディションです！
