We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 2011 Memphis Factory Made ES-165 Herb Ellis!

This model was introduced in 1991 as a tribute to the famous jazz player "Herb Ellis" and was produced until around 2013.
This model is equipped with a humbucker (490R) on the front, 1Vol & 1Tone control layout, and "Herb Ellis" signature silk-screened on the headstock, just like "1953 ES-175" which was replaced with humbuckers from his beloved P-90. The headstock had "Herb Ellis" signature silk-screened on it.
In 2004, the pickups were changed to "BJB Floating Pickup", the volume knob was moved to the top of the pickguard, the head has crown inlays, and "Herb Ellis" signature is engraved on the truss rod cover.

The body size, materials used for various parts, double parallelogram inlays, zigzag tailpiece, and body binding are all in the style of the ES-175.
The top of the body is made of quaint figured maple, which, combined with the sunburst coloring, gives the instrument a mature atmosphere.

There is only a little room left to tighten the truss rod, and there is little room to lower the bridge.
The neck is currently in good playing condition, with the current string height of 2mm on the 6th string and 1.5mm on the 1st string.
The frets have not worn down much, and there is plenty of height left.

There is a 2 cm scratch on the head top, a 3 cm scratch on the neck behind the 7th fret, and a 3 cm scratch on the tailpiece.
There is a 3cm scratch on the neck behind the 7th fret, and a 2.5cm crack in the center of the wood under the tailpiece endpin.
There is a 2.5cm touch-up to correct a split in the center of the wood under the endpin of the tailpiece.

There is an additional strap pin on the heel of the neck and the nut has been replaced.
A genuine hard case and certificate of authenticity are included.

名ジャズ・プレイヤーの「ハーブ・エリス」に敬意を表して、1991年に登場し、2013年辺りまで製作された本モデル。
初期はご本人の愛機であるP-90からハムバッカーに交換された「1953年製 ES-175」と同様にフロントにハムバッカー(490R)を搭載し、1Vol&1Toneのコントロール・レイアウト、ヘッドストックには「Herb Ellis」のサインがシルクスクリーンが入れられておりました。
2004年に仕様変更が行われ、ピックアップは「BJB Floating Pickup」となり、ピックガード上にVolumeノブが移動、ヘッドはクラウン・インレイが入り、トラスロッド・カバーに「Herb Ellis」のサインが刻印されております。

ボディのサイズや各部のマテリアル、ダブル・パラレログラム・インレイやジグザグ・テールピース、ボディのバインディングなど、ES-175のスタイルを踏襲しております。
ボディのトップには趣のあるフィギュアド・メイプルが使用され、サンバーストの色味も相まって、大人な雰囲気の一本です。

トラスロッドの締める余裕が残り僅かとなっており、ブリッジを下げる余裕も少ない状況です。
現状ネックは気持ち順反りの状態で、現在の弦高は6弦が2mm、1弦は1.5mmでプレイ・コンディションは良好です。
フレットはあまり減っておらず、高さも十分に残っております。

ヘッドトップに2センチほどの引っかき傷、7フレット裏のネックに3センチほど
の引っかき傷、テイルピースのエンドピン下の木部センターに2,5センチほどの
割れ修正タッチアップがございます。

ネック・ヒールにストラップ・ピン増設、ナット交換あり。
純正ハードケース、認定書が付属致します。
