For customers residing in Japan
Made in 2011. Old spec D-35 is in stock.
The D-35 was born in 1965 due to the difficulty of rosewood supply, and its era coincides with the Japanese folk boom of the 1960s and 1970s, making it a very familiar model in Japan.
Not only does it have a 3-piece back, but also thinner and taller bracing than the D-28, allowing the player to experience a lighter and more delicate sound.
Sitka spruce Top, Indian rosewood Side/Back, select hardwood Neck with 42.9mm nut width & low profile shape, Ebony fingerboard & bridge.
As mentioned above, the D-35 has a sparkling and delicate sound, with good sound separation when playing chords and arpeggios, and its gentle tone seems to accompany beautifully with singing accompaniments.
There are several dents on the top of the body, and several dents on the back of the neck that appear to be capo marks, as well as scratches and other minor damage throughout.
The body binding has been repaired, the bridge has been lifted, and other necessary repairs have been made in the past.
The neck is in good condition, with no fret rattling or noticeable partial fret loss, and the string height is within the proper range.
There is a strap pin (at the heel of the neck), a FISHMAN under-saddle type pickup has been retrofitted, and the volume and tone controls are located by the soundhole.
The previous owner probably used it as his main machine for live performances.
Although there are some overall damages, this is a recent Martin that will be an immediate asset to the field.
