The 2003 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is in stock!

This is a 2003 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue with minor changes such as new peg position and Bumble Bee capacitor. The fingerboard is not made of "BZF" (Brazilian Rosewood), but the reddish color is stronger than normal Rosewood, and the wood grain gives the impression of Brazilian Rosewood.

The top of the body is characterized by the grains of wood that are scattered all over the top of the body, and it looks very beautiful. The top maple is made of the finest book-matched maple flame top, and the top arch has a gentle curve toward the outer edge, a characteristic of this period. The body back mahogany is planked and glued to the top maple in a semi-circle shape as in vintage guitars. The paint is an aniline die finish, but the red color remains firmly in place.

The weight is 3.72kg, which is very light for a Les Paul, and the sound and easy handling are also very nice points.

The neck shape is a little thicker than the current HC1959LP, but the midrange extension is conveyed in terms of sound. The pickups are equipped with BB#1/BB#2. These pickups have a nice tone that many people love. The bridge is ABR-1 with retainer, and the tailpiece is made of aluminum.

The condition is so clean that it is hard to believe that it is 20 years old. The bridge is in good condition with no dents or scratches, although there are some parts that are dull. There is plenty of rassthread room, so there are no playing problems, and the playability is excellent.

This is a great sounding and looking instrument. Please consider this opportunity.

ペグ位置変更やバンブルビーキャパシターの採用などマイナーチェンジが施された2003年製のHistoric Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissueです。 "BZF"、所謂ブラジリアンローズウッドを採用した指板ではない個体ですが通常のローズウッドより赤みが強く、杢の感じからしてブラジリアンローズウッドの雰囲気を感じさせる指板をしています。

ボディトップはトップ全体にビッシリ入った杢が特徴で見る角度によってギラっと浮き出る非常に美しい見た目をしています。トップのメイプルには、極上のブックマッチメイプルフレイムトップが使用されており、トップアーチは、この時期の特徴である外周に向け緩やかなカーブが特徴です。ボディバックマホガニーは、板目で気取りされており、トップメイプルに対し、ビンテージと同じく半円型で接着されております。塗装はアニリンダイフィニッシュですが、しっかり赤色が残っています。

ウエイトは3.72kg。レスポールの中では非常に軽く、鳴りも良く取り回しの良さも嬉しいポイントです。

ネックシェイプは、現行のHC1959LPに比べ、少しシェイプが太いですが、サウンド面で中音域の伸びが伝わります。ピックアップには、BB＃1/BB＃2を搭載。愛用者も多い素敵なトーンのピックアップです。ブリッジは、リテナー付きのABR-1、テールピースは、アルミ製となります。

状態に関しては20年前の個体とは思えないほどキレイな状態を保っています。もちろんパーツ類のくすみはございますが打痕など殆ど見られない良い状態をキープしています。もちろんとラスロッドの余裕もあり、演奏上の問題もなく、プレイアビリティーも良好です。
