USED FENDER / 1976 Jazzmaster 3-Tone Sunburst [05]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1976 Fender Jazzmaster.

This Fender Jazz Guitar model was born in 1958 to compete with the G Company, which was the dominant player in the jazz music scene at that time.
The newly developed body shape, switches and tremolo unit were designed with the surf music of the time in mind.
The shimming of the neck angle just before shipping shows that Fender put a lot of effort into this guitar at that time.

The one we received has a large head from the 70s or later, 70s Jazzmaster decal, bound neck with block position markings. The neck date is not stamped.

Plate serial is 1976. Both pickups are gray bobbins and were made in 1973. Pots are both volume and tone and were made in 1976.
The pots may not be original because the solder color is slightly different, but since they match the date on the plate, several staff members have checked and determined that they were made in 1976.

The sunburst finish and black guard were common in the late 1970s, but this one has the same number written on the body side neck pocket and pickguard, which confirms that it is an original tortoiseshell pickguard.

The ground wire was disconnected when it arrived at our store, so the solder has been corrected only in the relevant area.
There is relatively little shrinkage of the pickguard, and the paint remains beautiful and shiny in many areas.

The body and neck have beautiful weather checks, and have been carefully and well used for a long time, and have been elevated to a wonderful look that shows that they have survived to this day.

There are not many Jazzmasters from the 70's on the market, and even fewer of the original tortoiseshell pickguards from the late 70's, making this one of the most valuable Jazzmasters available.
This is an attractive 70s Jazzmaster for those who are looking for a vintage Jazzmaster that can be used well without being overbearing, as well as for collectors who love Jazzmasters.
