We are pleased to announce the arrival of a rare Fender Japan model ST-650SPL.

The serial number of this guitar is dated 1987-1988, but the ST-650SPL is a special model from the early 90's. It is likely that the parts for Fender USA were used and incorporated into this guitar when it was manufactured in Japan at that time.

The body is made of basswood, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, which is a typical Fender wood material configuration. The truss rod adjustment is located on the head side.

The pegs and bridge have the same two-point bridge and pegs as the AMERICAN series (later STANDARD series) sold by USA at that time, making this model a Fender USA model made by Fender Japan.

When the pickguard is removed, the inside is a large cavity, commonly known as a "bento box.
The inside of the cavity and the back panel are coated with conductive paint, and the pickups, selector, pots, and other electrical components are USA standard parts.

The pickups, selector, pots, and other electrical components are USA-standard parts. Although there are some signs of use such as scratches and dents, the guitar has been checked and adjusted by a professional repair person after arrival, and is in good playing condition.

フェンダージャパンのレアモデルST-650SPLが入荷いたしました。

シリアル上での製造期間は1987年から1988年にかけてとなっていますが、ST-650SPLは90年代初め頃のスペシャルモデルとなっており、恐らくは当時フェンダーUSA用のパーツを日本国内で製造していた時のパーツを後に流用して組み込まれた個体と思われます。

バスウッド･ボディーにメイプル･ネック、ローズウッド指板という王道のフェンダー･ウッドマテリアル構成ではございますが、指板はツバ出しの22フレット仕様にミディアム･ジャンボ･フレット。トラスロッドの調整はヘッド側に配置。

ペグやブリッジは当時のUSAから販売されていたAMERICANシリーズ(後のSTANDARDシリーズ)と同様の2点支持ブリッジやペグを搭載しており、フェンダージャパン製のフェンダーUSAモデルとも言うべきモデルとなっています。

ピックガードを外すと内部は大きく空洞となっており、通称”弁当箱”とも呼ばれる仕様になっています。
また、キャビティー内とバックパネル内には導電塗料が塗られており、ピックアップやセレクター、ポットといった電装系はUSA規格のパーツが採用されています。

傷や打痕などの使用感はございますが、入荷後に専門のリペア担当にてチェック･全体調整を行っており、演奏コンディションも良好です。
