We are pleased to announce the arrival of a Futura from Gibson Custom Shop, made in 1999, based on serials.

This model was manufactured from 1957 to 1958 as a small prototype, and the one in stock here is a 1957 model.
The Futura has a sharper body shape and V-shaped headstock than the Explorer, and it is known as a rare guitar because of the small number of reissues as well as the original.
The wood is all mahogany, and is of high quality with a tight grain, which produces a strong middle tone.
Front pickups are 57Classic, but rear pickups are Gibson humbuckers. (Model unknown, DC resistance: approx. 7.68)

As for the condition, there are some playing scratches on the top, some paint peeling, strap pins have been repositioned and dowels have been filled.
There is rust and tarnish on metal parts and a washer mark on the head top that seems to have been on a different peg.
There is still room at the frets and the neck is in good condition, so there are no problems with playability.

* Scratches and dents show signs of use, but the condition is not a problem for playability.

シリアルから1999年製、Gibson Custom ShopのFuturaが入荷です。

1957年から1958年に僅かながらプロトタイプとして製造されたモデルで、今回入荷したのは1957年式のモデル。
エクスプローラーよりもシャープなデザインのボデイシェイプとVシェイプヘッドストックが特徴でマニアも多く、オリジナルは勿論リイシューがされても非常に本数が少ないことからレアなギターとして知られてます。
材はオールマホガニーで、杢目の詰まった上質な材が使われておりミドルの押し出しの強いサウンドをアウトプットします。
ピックアップはフロントに57Classicが搭載されてますが、リアは別のGibson製のハムバッカーに交換されてます。(型式不明、直流抵抗値：約7.68)

状態としてはトップに弾き傷、一部塗装剥がれ、ストラップピンの位置変更とダボ埋めがあります。
金属パーツの錆やくすみと、ヘッドトップに違うペグをつけていたと思われるワッシャーの跡があります。
フレットにはまだ余裕があり、ネックコンディションは良好ですので演奏性には問題ありません。

* 傷、打痕の使用感はあるが演奏性に問題はないコンディション。
