Rare pair of OLD K hi-hats

This is a pair of hi-hats made in Turkey by K Zildjan, stamped Intermediate Stamp (1959-1966) period!
The weights are 892g top and 1018g bottom, not too thin and not too thick, and very easy to use.
Both hi-hats are from the Intermediate period, but the top and bottom hi-hats do not seem to have been produced at the same time, and it is assumed that they were used in this combination over a long period of time.

The tone is dark, but the core of the sound is thick, powerful for its weight, and shows a strong presence.
The sound is delicate and rich in overtones, which is something that can only be achieved with an old K from this period.
This hi-hat can be used not only for jazz, but also for various genres.

There are some dullness and minute rust commensurate with its age, and the bottom hole is starting to widen slightly, but there are no chipped edges, no overall distortion, and good engagement. The tone is excellent.

This is an Old K Zildjian hi-hat, of which good examples have become scarce in recent years.

稀少なOLD Kのハイハット

トルコ製のKジルジャン、刻印がIntermediate Stamp (1959-1966)の時期のハイハットペアです
ウェイトはトップ892g、ボトム1018gと薄すぎず厚すぎず、非常に使いやすいバランスのペアです。
どちらもIntermediate期の物ですが、上下は同時に生産されたものではなさそうで、長い年月の間にこの組み合わせになって使われ続けたのであろうと推測されます。

ダークな音色ながら、音の芯は太く、ウェイトの割りにパワフルでシッカリ存在感を示してくれます。
なおかつ繊細で豊かな倍音に富んだサウンドはこの時期のオールドKならではといったところでしょう。
ジャズ系のみならず、様々なジャンルにも応用の利くハイハットです。

年式相応にくすみや微小なサビは出ており、僅かにボトムのホールが広がり始めてはいますが、エッジの欠けなく、全体的な歪みも感じれれず、噛みあわせも良好。流石の音色です。

近年良い個体も少なくなってきた印象のオールドKジルジャンのハイハットです。
