OLD 4B (1959) period Old K hi-hat, 15

This is a pair of K Zildjan and Old K hi-hats made in Turkey!
The stamps appear to be OLD 4B type and the estimated year of manufacture is 1959.

This is a very rare pair of 15".
The weight is 914g at the top and 986g at the bottom, a very thin weight balance.
The pitch is not too low for 15 inches, and is medium pitch.
The pitch is medium pitch, not too low for a 15", and the rich overtones are very fine, creating a very soft touch.
It has the fullness of a 15", but since it is a thin combination, it is not blunt and has a very delicate and fine touch, creating a truly elegant and beautiful sound.

The top of the center hole seems to be slightly worn off, but it is not to the extent that it will cause problems in use.
The edges are relatively clean, with no distortion and good bite.
There is some tarnishing and darkening, but it is clean for its age and is in good enough condition for an old cymbal from nearly 60 years ago.

スタンプの形状はOLD4Bタイプと見られ、推定製造年は1959年です。

非常に珍しい15インチのペアです。
ウェイトはトップ914g、ボトム986gと非常に薄目のウェイトバランスです。
やや細か目のハンマーで繊細かつびっしりとハンマリングが施されており、ピッチは15インチにしては低すぎず、ミディアムピッチです。
豊かな倍音が非常に細やかな印象で、非常に柔らかなタッチを生み出しています。
15インチらしいふくよかさが感じられますが、薄目の組み合わせですので鈍重さは無く、非常に繊細で細やかなタッチで、実に上品で美しいサウンドです。

センターホールはトップが僅かに削れ始めているように見られますが、まだまだ使用上問題の生じる程度では有りません。
エッジも比較的綺麗で、歪みも無く噛みあわせも良好です。
多少のくすみや黒ずみもございますが、年式の割には綺麗で、60年近く昔のオールドシンバルとしては十分良いコンディションです。
