USED ZILDJIAN / A 50s Large Hollow Stamp 22" 2598g RIDE 50s Zildjian Ride Cymbal [08]

This is a 50's A Giljan ride that has become very popular in recent years due to its rarity and unique sound.

This particular piece is a 22-inch ride with a "Large Hollow Logo" from the mid-50s.
Although it is 22 inches, the weight is relatively light at 2598 grams, about the weight of a medium thin.

The hammering is also different from that of the mid-60s and later, so it has a different sound from the current A series, and while based on the clean tone typical of A, it has a slightly darker overtone.
This one in particular is a little thinner, so along with the bright ping sound typical of A, the dark overtones spread out pleasantly.
The whole cymbal sounds supple and smoky, which is unique to the 50's. The cymbal is a little thin, so the dark overtones spread comfortably along with the bright ping sound typical of the A series.

Although there are some signs of age and use, such as dullness and faint greenish blue, there are no major chips, deformation of the center hole, or other major damage, and the condition is good enough for a cymbal of this age.
