LEEDY, an American drum brand that once existed
The brand name itself eventually disappeared as it merged with RADIC and was absorbed by Slingerland, but it is a brand that has existed for a long time in the history of drums in the United States.

This snare seems to have been manufactured in the 1920s, which is 100 years ago.
The shell is made of brass (nickel over nickel) and features a double-beat look on the top and bottom.
The size is a 4" deep piccolo and the hoop is a single flange hoop (made of steel).
The lugs are also pressed steel and appear to be original, but the parts are all quite rusted.
The bolt is an original minus key type (can be turned with a sonar key).

The switch is also from those days, originally a round wire type snappy, but has now been replaced with a pearl one. The old switch has some rust, but the stability of the operation is well maintained. The head has also been replaced with the current type made by Remo.

The shell itself has some rust and tarnish, but there are no major deformities and it is clean enough for a 100-year-old shell.

The sound is sweet, fat, and soft like brass of this age, but it has a surprisingly high volume and power.

The 8-tension tuning is stable enough for tuning, and although it is not structurally suited for high pitch, it is practical enough.
The sound is also suitable for the modern age!
This is a rare and valuable instrument that is not only rare but also practical.

Size: 14x4 inches
Shell: Brass
Hoop/Tension: 8-tension single flange
Attachment: None

Item Rank: B: Fairly scratched and used, but no problem in normal use.
