USED LUDWIG / 1965 No.404 Acrolite 10lug 14x5 60's RADIC Acrolite Snare Drum [08]

Radik's classic model, the aluminum Acrolite, 404 snare drum.
With serial 212917, it is estimated to have been made in 1965, but this one is a 10-lug version.
There are various theories, but it seems to have been produced in limited numbers until around the 1970s.
However, it is a very rare specification that is almost never in stock. Incidentally, the current 404 has 10 lugs.

The same aluminum shell as the original 404 gives a dry and soft sound, but the 10 lugs give the impression of a tighter and wider range.
The sound is quicker and slightly closer to that of the 400.

The original baseball bat mute is included, but the hoop has most likely been replaced with a Radik hoop from another era (70's).
The bolts also appear to have been replaced.
The head, snappy, and other worn parts have also been replaced.

Overall, there are a lot of small scratches and age-appropriate scars, but there are no parts that are particularly damaged.
It is still in good condition for a vintage drum.

This is a rare 10-tension Acrolite from the 60s, perfect for drummers who want a sound somewhere between the 400 and 404!
