USED SLINGERLAND / No.153 Artist Model Solid Maple 14x5.5 Champagne Sparkle [08]

This is a single maple snare drum called "Artist Model" from around the mid-1960s.
Slingerland is famous for "Radio King," but this "Artist Model" has a "Zumatic" type switch and a simple structure around the switch (easy to use in a sense).

The style of the veneer maple and reinforcement is a shell configuration like Slingerland's No. 18.
It is no exaggeration to say that this style is a model for the veneer maple of later years.

The hoop is also an original brass stick saver hoop, and together with this, you can enjoy the rich overtones and thick core sound typical of Slingerlands.

The serial number is 48053, and it is believed to have been produced up to the mid-1960s.
The inner mute is missing, the switch knob is slightly bent, and the movement of the dial is a little stiff, but it is not at the level where it is unusable and can be used without any problems.

There is a gap between the rain force and the shell, but this may be due to the thinning of the joint due to the aging of the wood, and there should be no problem with the strength of the wood.
The sound is good, and although there are some scratches and stains, the covering has not deteriorated that much, and it is still in good condition for active use.
