USED Gibson USA / U2 Showcase Edition Silver [3.35kg / 1989]

This is Gibson's 80s-inspired "U2" Showcase Edition, made in 1989.

The U-2 is a super Strat-type guitar with dinky shape, basswood body, Explorer head, set neck jointed maple neck, ebony fingerboard, H-H-H layout with 3 OBL (Bill Lawrence) PUs, Vol(Push-Pull coil tap)/Tone/ 3 PU SWx each, Lead SW(Rear Push-Pull coil tap)/Tone/ 3 PU SWx each, Lead SW(Rear Push-Pull coil tap)/Tone/ 3 PU SWx each, Lead SW(Rear Push-Pull coil tap)/Tone/ 3 PU SWx each. Pull coil-tap)/Tone/each PU SWx3/lead SW (rear PU + Vol) control, and a Floyd Rose licensed tremolo with "Gibson" engraving.

This series reflects the 80's HR/HM specs of the past in color, and is a rare model limited to 200 pieces.

Originally silver, but has a gold tint due to age. There is a tension bar attachment hole on the head, and the strap pin has been changed. There are some signs of use (color burns, overall weather cracks, paint peeling on the side of the fingerboard, paint bumps on the back of the head and joint joints, minor scratches and scratches, scuffs and scuff marks, picking marks, fogging, bits and rust on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string change, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment) upon arrival, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees left and right.
