USED MUSIC MAN / AXIS EX Translucent Red [3.59 kg]

This is a Music Man AXIS EX in Translucent Red, made in Japan.

The AXIS EX was produced at a designated factory in Japan using the same hardware as the Music Man USA models. According to the catalog specifications, it features a basswood back with a figured maple top (figured maple veneer/maple), a maple neck with visible bird's-eye figure and a maple fingerboard, and a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo system.

This model is popular for its playability and exquisite sound. With the pickup selector positioned similarly to EVH models, it offers a unique charm that sets it apart from the USA models.

It is equipped with Dimarzio pickups (front: Dimarzio DP193, rear: Dimarzio DP155).The strap pins have been replaced, and there are signs of use (including dents, scratches, scuffs, playing marks, picking marks, noticeable buckle marks, discoloration on the back of the neck, string marks and paint peeling on the fingerboard, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, saddle groove correction, and strap pin replacement). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening); it has been tested to operate up to ±60° and is in good working order.
