10-1r9l5l0x7-0711
[SN IMM120711] YAMAHA / LL16D ARE Natural [10]
The LL16D ARE!!, adorned with luxurious embellishments
The L Series is renowned worldwide as Yamaha’s flagship line of acoustic guitars.
Even 40 years after its release, the “L” continues to be cherished by countless artists as a legendary instrument…
It is simply because it has consistently delivered the sound and playability demanded by each era at the highest level.
It ushered in a new era of acoustic guitars in Japan, has continued to evolve with the times, and has consistently met the expectations of its players. That is the L Series.

In March 2014, the L Series was revamped for the first time in 10 years!
The LL16 was reborn as the LL16 ARE, and this model is the premium version of the LL16 ARE.
Featuring an original jumbo body and an all-solid construction, it features Engelmann spruce for the top and rosewood for the sides and back.
The top wood has undergone the proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment,” previously used on high-end L Series models (such as the LL26 and LL36). This achieves a rich tone reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for many years!!
Furthermore, the LL16D ARE features abalone inlays on the body and rosette, along with diamond-design inlays for the position marks. Its appearance is reminiscent of the high-end “L36 Series”!
The bracing remains the same non-scalloped X-bracing as before, but in this redesign, the bracing has been lowered and its shape changed to a square. This ensures that the X-bracing intersects perfectly!
The neck has been changed from the traditional 3-piece construction to a 5-piece structure combining mahogany and rosewood, achieving greater strength and resistance to warping and twisting! Additionally, the neck is tapered by 1 mm at the 10th fret, improving playability in the higher positions! Furthermore, the rounded cut of the fingerboard edges ensures a smooth playing experience that fits comfortably in the hand!
In the new model, the string action and string spacing have also been adjusted: the 6th string is set slightly lower and the 1st string slightly higher than before, and the string spacing has been widened by 0.3 mm.
This new model is equipped with a “passive pickup,” allowing you to connect it directly to an amplifier. (Cable sold separately.)
The pickups use the same piezo elements as the SRT pickups found in electro-acoustic guitars like the APX and CPX. They offer excellent response and ample output!
A “double-action truss rod”—which was not included in the early L Series models—has been installed, providing adjustment for both positive and negative bow.
Included: Light Case
JAN Code: 4957812547819
Serial Number: IMM120711

Pickup & Controls: Passive pickup
Body Type: Original Jumbo Body Type
Body Thickness: 100 mm, 125 mm
Top: Solid Engelmann Spruce (A.R.E.)
Back: Solid rosewood
Sides: Solid rosewood
Neck: Mahogany + Rosewood, 5-ply
Fingerboard: Ebony
Bridge: Ebony
Scale length: 650 mm
Fingerboard width at nut/body joint: 44 mm/55 mm
Tuners: Gold pegs (TM29G)
Finish: Natural *Urethane coating, gloss finish

* This is a one-of-a-kind item currently listed simultaneously on multiple online marketplaces, including our in-store display.
