D'Angelico" is one of the trendsetting jazz guitars along with Gibson. This model is a domestic reproduction of the most popular New Yorker among them. The body is 17 inches of spruce. It is the same size as the so-called L-5CES, and you can experience the volume that is typical of a royal road box. The sides and back are beautiful figured maple, and the body thickness is about 3 inches. Neck is 2pcs maple, fingerboard surface is ebony, scale is 25.5", PU is original mini humbucker floating mounted. The head design, pickguard, and tailpiece have an Art Deco style design, and the truss rod cover is reminiscent of a skyscraper.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dings. The pickguard has minor feel-picking scratches. There are only minor dents on the lower right and left edges of the body. The lower right side of the body has toe dings, and there are also some dings around the jack. There is a line scratch in the center of the body back and some scratches on the outer edge. There are some light scratches on the top of the head from the tips of the strings. The body top is generally tanned to an amber color, and if you move the bridge, you can see the tanned area like a bikini line. The back of the head is dotted with small dents. All parts are gold and have some chipping.

The neck is in good condition. The truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, there are some scratches and lines on the back of the body, but they are not noticeable due to its coloring, and it is in relatively clean condition. Its sound is acoustic, three-dimensional, and edgy with the royal format of a floating-mounted mini hum on a spruce top. It is clearly different from a humbucker's escutcheon mount, and gives the impression of faithfully outputting the player's nuances. With the price of Gibson boxed guitars skyrocketing, the Diangelico, which boasts of its great pedigree as a jazz guitar despite being made in Japan, is a perfect target. This guitar is not only a jazz guitar, but also a must-have for neo-soul players who want to put cool phrases on fashionable tracks, and is highly recommended.
