GIBSON acoustic guitar, SJ DELUXE is in stock!
The serial number suggests that this guitar was produced between 1973 and 1975.
The Southern Jumbo is the top model of the J-45. The natural color of the Southern Jumbo is called "Country Western". The natural color of J-45 is basically called J-50, but there is J-45Natural, LG-2 and LG-3 were renamed to B-25 in 1960s, and so on. It is also typical of Gibson that the model name is decided by the age when it was manufactured and the groove of the time.
In the 1970s, not only the model name but also various parts were changed.
The square shoulder body, volute neck, long scale, down belly bridge, double X bracing, and mountain shaped neck heel are all unique to this period.
The nut width is about 43mm in actual size, and the neck is a slightly compact 3P mahogany regular neck.
As befitting a Deluxe, the head top has a crown inlay, the fingerboard inlay is engraved with block inlays, and a distinctive pickguard is attached. The wood lines on the fretboard sides and end ends are also not to be overlooked.
This 1970s Gibson acoustic can be said to be distinctive not only visually but also in terms of sound.
It has a well-balanced sound from low to high, and although it does not have an aggressive and violent feel, it does have a kind of jangly atmosphere. The lows are a little tight, which may be a little different from the Gibson you may imagine, but many people will find it easy to handle when actually playing it. It must have been played with gusto, as evidenced by the heavy scratches near the pickguard. It possesses a powerful and loud sound.

There are many fine weather checks, scratches, and dents on various parts of the body top. There are two cracks on the soundhole ring where it meets the pickguard, which is common on large pickguards of this age. There is a paint reaction on the back of the neck, and it feels rough to the touch. There is also paint reaction on the side of the body, and there is probably some case burn. There are some cracks on the binding of the body back.
The neck is currently in good condition and the truss rod is adjustable.
The frets have been replaced by the previous owner and have been recently rubbed together, so there are no dents.
The bridge height and saddle height have been adjusted, and the saddle height is 1.5mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 0.6mm on the 1st string side.
Due to the angle of the neck, the current string height is 3.0-3.1mm on the 12F 6th string side and 2.1-2.2mm on the 1st string side.
It is a junk item that does not work perfectly.
The pegs have been replaced with tulip type pegs instead of the 1970's metal knobs, and there are screw holes on the back of the head for the previous pegs.
Since these pegs are often installed on Gibson guitars, they do not look strange at all, but rather cool.
The pickups are equipped with L.R. Baggs M1 ACTIVE pickups, which can also be connected to a line for output. Since it is an active pickup, it can be expected to play in actual battle as it is, and since it is hum canceled, it is resistant to howling.
The original hard case is missing one hinge part, but the other parts can be closed and there is no problem for normal use.

Neck condition is fine.
The truss rod can be tightened or loosened in both directions.
Only about 40-50% frets left.
