2023 RG8870, good quality with little signs of use.

Ibanez's top grade "J-Custom" series, the "RG", which is described as "synonymous" with Ibanez. This top grade RG8870 is eye-catching with gorgeous inlays.

The body is made of alder, which produces a firm sound, and is chambered with a weight control of about 3 cm on the top side. The top is top grade flame maple with natural binding.

The neck is made of 5pcs maple and wenge. MacArthur Ebony fingerboard with "Tree Of Life" position inlays, one of the symbols of j.custom design, and "Spherical Custom Treatment" fret edges. The neck shape is "RG j.custom j.custom". The neck shape is "RG j.custom Super Wizard AS", an asymmetrical neck shape based on the ultra-thin Super Wizard shape, which was designed for ease of playability and thinness.

The neck position features DiMaggio's PAF 36th Anniversary, which has a sweet tone with low output and warmth, the middle position features True Velvet, which has a bright and noiseless sound, and the bridge position features The Velvet, which has a well-balanced output from high to low frequencies and a powerful sound. The bridge position is equipped with The Tone Zone, a covered instrument with a balanced output from high to low frequencies and a powerful sound. The humbuckers can be coil-tapped with a mini-switch.

The tremolo is the well-known Lo-Pro Edge. The unit is designed to be as low as possible and the fine tuners are placed in the rear to minimize the possibility of the tuning going out of tune due to hand contact while playing.

The pegs are made by Gotoh for safety and stability, the side position marks are luminescent, and the back of the neck has a satin velvet touch.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 90% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is set at 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F).

There are only a few scratches on the body, and it is recommended for those who are considering a new one.

アイバニーズのトップグレード『J-Custom』シリーズ、Ibanezの“代名詞”と評される『RG』。絢爛豪華なインレイが目を引くトップグレードのRG8870。

ボディはコシのあるサウンドをアウトプットするアルダーで、約3cm程のウェイトコントロールをトップ側に施したチェンバード仕様。トップにはトップグレードらしい高級感溢れるフレイムメイプルにナチュラルバインディングを採用しております。

ネックはメイプル&ウェンジの5pcsとなっております。マッカーサーエボニー指板にj.customデザインの象徴のひとつでもあるポジション･インレイ “Tree Of Life”を採用し、フレット･エッジを “球面カスタム･トリートメント”を採用。ネックシェイプは『RG j.custom Super Wizard AS』としており、弾き易さと薄さとを追求した極薄のSuper Wizard シェイプをベースとした非対称ネック･シェイプです。

ネック･ポジションには低出力で暖かみのある甘いトーンが特徴のディマジオのPAF 36th Anniversary、ミドル･ポジションにはブライトかつノイズ･レスなサウンドが特徴のTrue Velvet、ブリッジ･ポジションには高音域から低音域までバランスよく出力しパワフルなサウンドが特徴のカバードのThe Tone Zoneを搭載。またミニスイッチによりハムバッカーををコイルタップが可能です。

トレモロはおなじみのLo-Pro Edgeを採用。ユニットを極力低く又ファイン･チューナーを後方に配置し設計することで、演奏時に手が当たりチューニングが狂う可能性を抑えます。

またペグは安心・安定のGotoh製、サイドポジションマークを蓄光式、ネック裏のみサテンなヴェルベットタッチを採用するなどこだわりをみせております。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能です。フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは9割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

ボディに僅かに拭きキズがある程度で、新品をお考えの方にもオススメできる内容です。
