The serial number indicates that it was made in 1967. The original walnut color has faded beautifully and the binding around the body and neck has deteriorated, giving it a dignified appearance, as is typical of Vintage Gretsch.
The pickguard is missing, and there are extra mounting holes on the top of the PU and on the side of the body, as if another size had been installed in the past. The neck heel cap area is almost gone due to deterioration, and the binding around the body has some deterioration that is common with age, but does not feel like it is catching on clothes. The binding around the neck is also cracked from age, but it does not seem to affect playability significantly.

Both the top and back of the body have a thin layer of weather cracks around the perimeter, giving it a natural and dignified appearance. This is a presence that is not found in today's relics or aged models. There is a buckle scratch on the center of the body back, though it is not deep. There is also a deep weather crack on the head top.

The rear PU has been replaced with one of the same specification. Both bezels have been replaced and the screws that attach them to the bezels have also been replaced. The truss rod cover screws have also been replaced, as well as the selector and tone cap. The standby switch is normally off at the center, but this one is off only when the switch is turned outward. The nut and frets have been replaced.　There is a chip on the bridge base that has been repaired. The strap pin has been replaced with a Schaller lock pin type, and the strap side is missing. The hardware is in relatively good condition considering its age, although there are some signs of use and deterioration.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets, and about 50-60% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F). The truss rod nut has a washer.

Overall, there are some vintage Gretsch-like damage, aging, missing pickguard, parts replacement, etc., but there are no major damages or signs of use that would ruin the atmosphere of the guitar. The neck angle is also good, so you can play it with a normal gun! The tone that is produced by driving it hard with a Marshall and riding out the feedback exquisitely is unmatched! It's great! New models are getting more expensive, so you might want to go for a vintage one!
